Job summary

Community Renewal Team Inc. seeks a Teacher Assistant in Hartford, CT to support daily classroom routines and deliver developmentally appropriate care and education to children in alignment with state and national standards.

The position requires a CDA or 12 ECE credits, two years of classroom experience, and CPR/First Aid readiness. You will work closely with the Instructional Leader and collaborate with families to implement LEP/IEP plans when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a CDA or 12 ECE credits to meet the minimum educational requirement.
• CT Charts a Course Ladder Level 6 required; CDA candidates encouraged.
• Two years classroom experience in a state-licensed program preferred.
• First Aid for Children, CPR Certification, and Administration of Medication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children by sight and sound and maintain ratios per policy.
• Provide developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily plans.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support each child’s goals.
• Ensure CACFP meal guidelines and daily health checks are followed.
