Job summary

Trinity College Community Child Center on the Trinity College campus in Hartford seeks an Infant Teacher Assistant for a full-time, year-round role. You will work with a Lead Teacher to ensure a safe, engaging classroom environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months.

Requirements include 20+ years, 1 year of infant care experience, and ELDS knowledge. CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable within 1 month. Flexible schedule within 7:30 am–5:30 pm, on-site with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• At least 1 year experience with 6 weeks to 18 months in a childcare center.
• Associate degree preferred; 12 ECE credits or CDA with experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of Connecticut ELDS.
• Current CPR & 1st Aid or willing to obtain within 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Work with Lead Teacher to manage the classroom operations.
• Occasionally operate independently in the Lead Teacher's absence.
• Maintain a positive classroom aligned with TC4 guidelines.
• Adhere to CT ECE mandates and NAEYC best practices.
