Job summary

Trinity College Community Child Center is seeking a qualified, full-time Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our dynamic team of Early Childhood Educators. In a classroom with 18 children, you will work with two fellow Teacher Assistants and a Lead Teacher to provide a curriculum that nurtures and stimulates development on the Trinity College campus in Hartford.

Responsibilities

8 hour shift with a 45 minute paid lunch break.
Monday to Friday schedule.
Serve as a mandated reporter.
Comply with Connecticut Office of Early Childhood and Hartford Department of Children, Families Youth and Recreation policies.
Observe all TC4 policies and procedures.
Perform daily site safety checks and report issues to the Administrative Team.
Follow National Association for the Education of Young Children Code of Ethical Conduct.

What You'll Do

Schedule:

Fulfill all mandates and obligations as laid out by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood and The City of Hartford Department of Children, Families Youth and Recreation.
Observe and follow all TC4 policies and procedures.
Perform daily site safety checks (classroom, playground, etc.) prior to children entering, correct any issues, and notify the Administrative Team of items requiring follow-up.
Carry out best practices as developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and observe its Code of Ethical Conduct.
