Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States seeks a Presales Engineer to manage presale opportunities and implement complex projects for public safety and enterprise customers. You will partner with the Sales Team to define scope and deliver end-to-end solutions that meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in sales or engineering, plus LMR experience and strong communication skills. Travel up to 25% is required, with a base salary range of $85,000–$110,000 and comprehensive U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in sales, sales engineering, or public safety.
• Or 8+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience.
• Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo.
• Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset.
• Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures.
• Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, end-to-end solutions across diverse customers nationwide.
• Defines directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of technical solutions.
• Provide engineering services for Customers, including commissioning and testing Motorola equipment in accordance with requirements and contracts.
• Preparation of system bids, considering customer needs and available equipment, with product group input.
• Collaborate with operations and other developers of networking products to meet delivery requirements and deadlines.
