Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Leader in Melrose, MA to supervise Team Members and oversee the daily flow of the Prepared Foods department, ensuring compelling displays and compliance with health and safety standards.

You will train staff, manage scheduling, monitor inventory, and support store initiatives while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high morale among the team.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members with the Trainer to build a high-performance team.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using learning checklists and training materials.
• Keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
• Opens and closes department according to established procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
• Fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding teamwork and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members to satisfy customers.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Models WFM vision and goals.
