Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Somerville, MA is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Leader to assist with scheduling, training, and the day-to-day operations of the Prepared Foods department. You will oversee displays, support Team Leaders, and ensure a courteous, safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities include supervising team members, training and mentoring, maintaining stock and cleanliness, opening/closing the department, and delivering excellent retail execution.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a retail foods team preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members with learning checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are provided.
• Communicates team concerns to leaders.
• Sets high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters positive teamwork and morale.
• Manages customer flow and responds to needs.
• Trains and counsels Team Members to sustain high-performance.
• Gives timely performance evaluations.
