Job summary

The Golden Hog in Key Biscayne, FL is seeking a Prep Salads team member to assist with preparing fresh salads, vegetables, and ready-to-eat items for the Buffet station. You will wash, cut, portion, and plate ingredients following recipes and safety standards, while maintaining freshness and timely replenishment.

Join a fast-paced kitchen environment with rotating shifts and weekends. Prior prep or foodservice experience is preferred; we offer weekly pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in salad preparation, kitchen prep, buffet, or foodservice preferred.
• Ability to wash, cut, chop, mix, and portion ingredients.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage.
• Ability to safely use knives and food preparation equipment.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Rotating shifts Monday-Sunday between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

The Prep Salads team member is responsible for preparing fresh salads, vegetables, and ready-to-eat items for the Buffet station. This position involves washing, cutting, mixing, portioning, and preparing ingredients according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. The team member will ensure product freshness, proper presentation, and timely replenishment while maintaining a clean and organized workstation and supporting daily buffet operations as needed. Candidates must be available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Prep Salads Qualifications:

• Previous experience in salad preparation, kitchen prep, buffet, or foodservice preferred.
• Ability to wash, cut, chop, mix, and portion ingredients.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage.
• Ability to safely use knives and food preparation equipment.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation.

• Availability to work rotating shifts Monday-Sunday between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM (7:00 AM-3:00 PM / 1:00 PM-9:00 PM), including weekends and holidays.
