Job summary

Glenaire is seeking a full-time Prep Cook who will learn and assist in preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of food products while upholding food safety and sanitation standards. This role requires weekend availability and adherence to company service standards.

The Prep Cook will follow recipes, read menus to estimate needs, and learn to operate kitchen equipment under supervision. A Food Handler’s Permit and ServSafe Certification are required by applicable state and county regulations.

• Food Handler’s Permit and ServSafe Certification as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read menu to estimate food requirements and order food from supplier or storage.
• Prepares and cooks food in accordance with recipes and production records.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen and prep areas.
• Carves meat, portions food on serving plates, and adds gravies or sauces as directed.
• Assist in washing, cutting, and prepping vegetables and fruits for use.
