Glenaire is seeking a full-time Prep Cook who will learn and assist in preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of food products while upholding food safety and sanitation standards. This role requires weekend availability and adherence to company service standards.
The Prep Cook will follow recipes, read menus to estimate needs, and learn to operate kitchen equipment under supervision. A Food Handler’s Permit and ServSafe Certification are required by applicable state and county regulations.
This is a full time position, and you must be able to work weekends
The Prep Cookwill learn to and assist in preparing, seasoning, and cooking various food product for consumption, through job experience supplemented by related instruction, prior to being considered a qualified, skilled cook. Maintains food safety and sanitation standards within the preparation and kitchen areas.
Ability to read and comprehend English simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Food Handler’s Permit and ServSafe Certification as required by applicable state and county.
