Qualifications

• Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and obtain SNHD Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and other items.
• Measure and mix ingredients for menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Label, date, and properly store food products following safety guidelines.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
• Label, rotate, and store items according to guidelines.
• Support line cooks and kitchen staff during service.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
