Job summary

ZMC Hotels is seeking a prep cook progressing to line cook for their hotel kitchen in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You will produce meals per standards, maintain sanitary work areas, and support the kitchen team to meet guest expectations.

Responsibilities include following recipes, keeping a clean station, and collaborating with the Kitchen Manager and staff while adhering to OSHA and safety policies. Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand through shifts is required.

• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift 30 pounds

• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of fundamental principles and procedures of food preparation.
• Keep work station clean and organized.
• Capable of preparing a minimum of 200 covers in an 8 hour shift.
• Adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standards.
• Familiar with and adhere to standard recipes.
• Communicate well with Kitchen Manager and co-workers.
• Know and follow OSHA requirements.
• Practice safe working habits.
• Attend food handlers course as required by county.
• Complete tasks assigned by Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
• All duties carried out safely.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changes in the job.
• Treat everyone with dignity and respect.
• Keep confidential the business functions of the company including financial status, customer/guest information, and employee issues.
