Job summary

Curry Up Now Commissary in San Francisco is hiring a Prep Cook to support our behind-the-scenes kitchen operations. You will prepare, serve, sell, and maintain food/beverage items, take orders, and assist with deliveries while upholding guest satisfaction and safety standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, managing daily station setup, rotating stock, completing shift checklists, and coordinating with the manager on shortages and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• One year experience working in a food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.
• Food handlers permit as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Maintain proper setup of the kitchen/station daily.
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.
• Complete shift prep-sheet items as listed.
• Set up, maintain, clean, and break down machinery and equipment.
• Maintain stock, cutting, and storage of perishables daily to ensure quality.
• Complete opening, in-progress, and closing checklists as required.
• Inform the manager of product shortages.
• Perform cleaning tasks using standard products to adhere to health standards.
• Return used items to proper places and clean/organize work areas including coolers.
