Job summary

King’s Hawaiian in the United States is seeking a Prep Cook for The Local Place. Prepare proteins, vegetables, and sauces according to recipes, ensure safe handling, and maintain clean, sanitary prep areas.

You will work closely with the kitchen team, support front line and catering needs, follow health department standards, and contribute to the friendly, aloha-inspired guest experience for our ohana.

Qualifications

• Speaks and understands basic English.
• Experience with working across prep stations and equipment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all proteins, vegetables, and sauces on menu from recipe cards.
• Follow prep lists and keep documentation according to procedures.
• Load and unload goods, label and date all prepared products for storage.
• Maintain sanitation standards and keep prep areas clean and organized.
• Assist team across areas as needed and participate in safety training.
• Cook items according to recipes and quality standards; ensure FIFO.
