The Beach House in Hawaii is seeking a kitchen prep worker to support line cooks by cutting foods per standardized recipes, reading and understanding recipes, and pre-weighing, measuring, and packaging ingredients for later use. You will prepare sauces and batters, bake or cook items as directed, and maintain a clean, safe prep area throughout each shift.

Responsibilities include sanitation, trash handling, and completing daily cleaning tasks under Chef guidance.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to stand, walk, use hands/fingers for long periods.
• Must be able to reach outward and push/pull 10-25 lbs regularly.
• Must be able to reach above shoulder and lift/carry 26-50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, moderately noisy kitchen.

Aufgaben

• Cut foods as specified by standardized recipes.
• Read and understand recipes.
• Pre-weigh, measure, and package foods according to recipe specs.
• Prepare sauces, dressings, batters per standardized recipes.
• Bake or cook items according to recipes for Line Cooks.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Sanitize prep area and line trash cans; take out trash and reline cans.
• Complete daily cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned by the Chef.
• Be a contributing team member and show teamwork with culinary staff.
