Qualifications

• 2–3 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen.
• At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to work in hot/cold and wet areas.
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift; lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Strong understanding of restaurant health and safety regulations.
• Basic understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Attentive and detail oriented in daily prep and execution.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate prep issues and inform Chef or Management on Duty.
• Assist with organization of all food products in the kitchen.
• Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
• Properly set up workstation with all ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned by Head Chef.
