Job summary

The h.wood Group, a Los Angeles-based hospitality and lifestyle company, is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and execute menu items per recipes and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a passion for food, a positive attitude, and thrives in a team environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe, clean stations; adhering to health regulations; and accommodating dietary needs. 18+ and legal to work in the United States are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of culinary experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen
• 18+ years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to work in hot/cold, and/or wet areas
• Ability to stand during entire shift, up to 8 hours with bending, squatting, and lifting up to 30 lbs
• Strong understanding of restaurant health and safety regulations
• Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Attentive and detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Prepare all menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines
• Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items
• Ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
• Accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions
• Ensure ingredient freshness by checking quality and tracking new/old items
• Maintain proper food temperatures and storage
• Set up workstation with ingredients and cooking equipment
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head Chef
