Job Description for Prep Cook at Texas A&M University

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Prep Cook position at Texas A&M University, located at 878 Houston Street, College Station, TX 77843. Online applications are accepted only. Pay Range: $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The Prep Cook prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations. Key responsibilities include:

• Obtaining daily production schedules and requirements from the Chef.
• Preparing items on production sheets following established recipes and quantities.
• Completing and following daily worksheets and waste logs, tasting meals for quality.
• Operating and cleaning equipment after use.
• Storing, labeling, and dating all food items according to policy, following HACCP guidelines.
• Completing required documentation and reports.
• Ensuring compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
• Taking customer orders and preparing quick-serve items.
• Serving customers efficiently and courteously.
• Using approved recipes and standards to ensure quality and proper portioning.
• Resolving customer concerns and performing other duties as assigned.
