Job summary

Chicken Salad Chick in Ruston, LA is hiring a hospitality-focused kitchen prep role. You’ll prepare chicken salads, pimento cheese, sides, soups, sauces, cookies and desserts following CSC recipes and portion standards. Maintain clean, sanitary workstations and meet SOS goals while upholding brand standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing prep, using Daily Prep List, reporting shortages, and attending meetings to suggest improvements.

Qualifications

• Always adhere to Brand Standards for uniform appearance and grooming.
• Complete duties on opening and closing prep and checklists.
• Refer to Daily Prep List at shift start for assigned duties.
• Prepare a variety of products per CSC recipes and standards.
• Follow CSC portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules.
• Prepare food according to CSC portion sizes and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and equipment.
• Close the kitchen properly and assist others in closing.
• Attend all scheduled meetings and share improvement ideas.
• Report equipment and food quality problems to Management.
• Inform Management immediately of product shortages.
• Use Standard Recipe Cards; no memory guessing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

• Completes duties on opening and closing prep and checklists.
• Refers to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Prepares a variety of food products including chicken salads, pimento cheese, side salads, soups, sauces, cookies, desserts, and other items for cooking/serving to Guest according to CSC recipe and product standards.
• Understands and complies consistently with CSC standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Prepares all food products in accordance with CSC portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, walls, steamer, kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• Closes the kitchen properly, following the closing checklist for kitchen and assists others in closing the kitchen.
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to Management.
• Informs Management immediately of product shortages.
• Uses our Standard Recipe Cards for preparing all products. Does not rely on the personal memory or of other employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Management.
