Job summary

Cambria Hotel Boston Logan Airport is seeking a Prep Cook to support daily kitchen preparation, organization, and consistent recipe execution for breakfast and dinner service. You will prep ingredients, follow recipes, maintain clean prep areas, ensure food safety, and work closely with the culinary team in a fast-paced opening property.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and prep instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and menu components according to recipes, prep lists, and production standards.
• Wash, cut, portion, measure, and organize ingredients for service.
• Follow established recipes, portion standards, and preparation methods.
• Label, date, rotate, and properly store food products.
• Maintain clean and organized prep areas, equipment, utensils, and storage spaces.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
• Communicate product shortages, quality concerns, and prep needs to kitchen leadership.
• Assist cooks and other culinary team members with preparation and production as assigned.
• Help receive, organize, and properly store food and kitchen supplies.
• Minimize waste through proper handling, storage, rotation, and portioning.
• Complete assigned cleaning and closing duties.
• Maintain compliance with Cambria/Choice Hotels standards and all property policies and procedures.
