Job summary

Village Inn is seeking a motivated Prep Cook to support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining a clean, orderly prep area. You will assist with parboiling, sauce preparation, and portioning to ensure consistency across dishes.

Attention to safety, proper food handling, and teamwork are essential as you help with opening/closing duties and interact with management and staff during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to operate equipment.
• Successful completion of required training program including on-the-job checklists and quizzes.

Responsibilities

• Label and stock ingredients on accessible shelves.
• Wash, chop and sort fruits, vegetables and meats.
• Measure quantities of seasonings and other ingredients.
• Parboil food, reduce sauces and start first steps in dishes.
• Clean dishes and sanitize kitchen between tasks.
