Job summary

Urban Farmer Philadelphia, part of Sage Restaurant Group, is seeking a dedicated line cook to prepare food items to specification while maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen.

You will follow recipes, work with the team, and ensure portions and temperatures meet standards in a fast-paced setting at The Logan Philadelphia.

This regular full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to a celebrated urban steakhouse and rooftop lounge with strong partnerships to local farms.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work as a team member and communicate with kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing checklists.
• Refer to Daily Prep List for assigned duties.
• Prepares meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking.
• Adheres to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station.
• Closes the kitchen properly and assists others in closing.
• Attends meetings and contributes improvement ideas.
• Reports equipment and food quality problems to chef on duty.
• Informs chef on duty of product shortages.
• Follows Standard Recipe Card for all products.
• Performs related duties as assigned by chef or manager.
• Rotates perishables and stores unused food properly.
