Pura Vida Miami is seeking a Kitchen Prep/Line Cook to join our growing lifestyle brand team in New Jersey. The role focuses on assembling ingredients per recipes, maintaining a clean workstation, and assisting chefs with food preparation while ensuring safety and quality.

You will handle inventory tasks, operate kitchen equipment safely, and be ready to cross-train across roles to support rapid growth and team success.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a food production facility or fast-paced restaurant.
• Food Handler certification or local equivalent.
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be familiar with measurement systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Aufgaben

• Prep ingredients as per the recipes and kitchen needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all food is stored properly and safely.
• Support the chefs by measuring and mixing ingredients and performing other food preparation tasks as directed.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory control by labeling and storing ingredients and informing the Kitchen Manager of low stock.
• Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks in the kitchen to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting them away in appropriate storage areas.
• Cross-train across various roles to support rapid growth in responsibilities and team success.
