Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking a part-time prep cook to ensure quality, consistency and production of all food items. Prep cook will prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping, cutting, and other meal preparations.

All recipes need to be followed and executed to TAO Standards, with proper labeling and storage and sanitation. Essential functions include setting up prep stations, stocking supplies, working with chefs and team, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment in a

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and communication skills required.
• Must be able to move quickly and work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Experience as prep or line cook in a high-volume operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping, and cutting according to recipes.
• Label and store all products following FIFO and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the prep station, kitchen, and venue.
• Set up prep station and perform opening/closing side-work as directed by management.
• Follow TAO recipes and sanitation guidelines; communicate needs to chefs and team.
