Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking a prep cook to ensure quality, consistency, and timely production of all food items in a fast-paced venue in Chicago. You will prepare ingredients, follow TAO Standards, and maintain sanitation across the station while supporting a collaborative kitchen team.

Responsibilities include labeling and storing items, performing opening/closing tasks, and communicating with chefs and staff to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience preferred.
• Experience as a prep/line cook in a high-volume operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping, and cutting according to recipes.
• Label and store products following FIFO and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the station, kitchen, and venue.
• Communicate product needs to chefs and staff; follow supervisor instructions.
• Set up prep station and perform opening/closing duties as directed.
