Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality in Chicago is seeking a Prep Cook to ensure quality, consistency and production of all food items. You will prep ingredients by washing, chopping, and cutting while following TAO standards and sanitation guidelines.

This full-time role offers benefits and a fast-paced kitchen environment. Qualifications include previous culinary experience and experience as prep/line cook in high-volume operations.

• Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate.
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of TAO standards and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and cutting according to recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of prepared station, kitchen, and venue.
• Label and store products following FIFO and company standards.
• Support and communicate with chefs and kitchen staff; work as a team.
• Set up prep station and perform opening/closing duties as directed.
