Job summary

The Beach House Maui – Kihei, HI is seeking a Prep/Cood Cook to join our culinary team. Provide the highest level of quality and service to guests in a friendly atmosphere. Prepare food items to be cooked and maintain sanitation of work areas.

Responsibilities include measuring ingredients, following standardized recipes, prepping doughs and sauces, labeling and storing items, complying with allergy safety, and keeping a clean, organized prep station in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut, portion, weigh, and measure ingredients in advance to support efficient cooking during service periods.
• Read and follow standardized recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor, portion, and presentation.
• Pre-weigh, measure, and package foods according to recipe specifications for later use by line cooks.
• Prepare dough, batters, sauces, dressings, and other handcrafted foods according to standardized recipes.
• Bake or cook specified items for later use by line cooks or bulk preparation.
• Label and store prepared items properly with accurate dating and rotation.
• Follow allergy safety procedures and confirm recipe ingredients for allergen-sensitive items.
• Keep prep station clean, organized, and stocked; sanitize surfaces regularly.
• Perform daily and deep-cleaning tasks as assigned, including mats, sweeping, mopping, and trash sanitation.
• Exhibit teamwork with the culinary team and assist with receiving, unpacking, labeling, and storing deliveries.
