Cooper’s Hawk in Wisconsin is seeking a Prep Cook to uphold quality by preparing assigned recipes to specification and supporting a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll perform prep tasks, stock your station, and ensure safety and sanitation while collaborating with a team.

Qualifications

• Must represent Cooper’s Hawk values.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous prep or line cook experience preferred.
• Thrives in a team-based environment.
• Basic cooking knowledge and knife skills with cut glove.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Clear communication with guests, managers and team members.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible shifts, weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand up to 10 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned recipes to specification to maintain Cooper’s Hawk quality standards.
• Wash, peel, slice, and mix vegetables, fruits or other ingredients for salads, cold plates, and garnishes.
• Prepare hot and cold sauces, carve and slice meats and cheese, and portion food for service.
• Measure and mix ingredients to make dressings and cold desserts.
• Set up station according to established specifications.
• Maintain kitchen equipment in like-new condition.
• Keep work areas safe, clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow SOPs and cleaning procedures for opening, mid-shift, or closing.
