Job summary

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Cook to support the Chef in preparing and presenting menu items and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. You will assist all stations and collaborate with BOH/FOH to deliver excellence.

Role requires stamina, timely execution, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen. Prior prep cook experience and legal US work status are preferred; SNHD card, safety compliance, and flexible scheduling are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; legal ability to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Experience as a prep cook or similar kitchen role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow prep lists created by chefs to plan duties.
• Label and stock ingredients for organized access.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings for recipes.
• Prepare cooking ingredients and undertake basic cooking duties.
• Prepare simple dishes and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.
• Store foods properly and comply with nutrition/sanitation guidelines.
• Operate safely with equipment, maintain temperature/time logs, and sanitize as dictated by health guidelines.
• Report health and safety concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Participate in training sessions and support seamless BOH + FOH operations.
