Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a part-time PrepCook for the Food and Beverage department at the Wilmington Convention Center. The role is hands-on, producing and inventorying hot and cold foods under the direction of the Executive Chef and according to established standards.

Responsibilities include preparing conessions items, labeling, minimizing waste, following recipes, and maintaining a sanitary workstation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding English.
• Ability to learn operation of kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of safe health standards.
• Knowledge of sanitary practices.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Identify and properly use kitchen small wares.
• Produce high quality food in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive customer service attitude at all times.
• Maintain grooming and dress code standards.

Responsibilities

• Always maintain an organized sanitary workstation.
• Properly label and date food items for storage and retail concession sales.
• Assist in the preparation of cut vegetables, baked goods, proteins, and salads.
• Minimize waste by controlling overage and usage.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards.
• Prepare all food for concessions as directed by Executive Chef.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
