Job summary

Wind Creek Atmore is seeking a Prep Cook to prepare cold prep items and assist in plate assembly according to specifications. You will manage dressings, sauces, marinades, and buffet items while maintaining sanitation and an organized area.

The role requires attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to follow recipes and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Training in Serve Safe sanitation is preferred and flexibility for irregular hours is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or in progress to complete within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to methods of food prep, portion control, and garnishing.
• Sharpens and handles kitchen knives.
• Slices, dices, and chops fruits, vegetables, cheeses, and meats.
• Prepares dressings, sauces, marinades, canapés, hors d’oeuvres, buffet items.
• Uses slicing machine, mixer, and food processor as per recipes.
• Handles meat, seafood, poultry, and produce per safe procedures.
• Reads and follows recipes and specifications.
• Rotates products and follows sanitation standards.
• Practices safety and security; reports unsafe conditions.
• Reads and retains daily promotions and station info from pre-shift info.
• Shows accuracy, seeks quality, and uses feedback to improve.
• Assumes special projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
