THE SMITH in New York is hiring a Prep Cook to support our kitchen team. You will assist in preparing dishes, chop vegetables, and assemble entrees following our recipes and standards.

You will ensure safe food handling, proper storage, and timely preparation for service. You should be detail-oriented, a team player with strong communication, and genuinely enthusiastic about hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Chop vegetables, prepare salads, and assemble entrees.
• Store and handle food safely to prevent spoilage and maintain proper temperatures.
• Portion and plate dishes with care and presentation in mind.
• Prepare stocks and soups to support service.
• Monitor ingredients to ensure availability for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area.
