Job Responsibilities for Prep Cook

• Under the direction of the Sous Chef or Manager-on-Duty, prep, portion, prepare, and assemble all cold food items (salads, cold appetizers, and hot/cold desserts) offered in the restaurant.
• Ensure all food preparation and procedures meet Ruth's Chris Steak House recipe specifications and quality standards. If you're eager to advance your culinary career, join our team!

Job Requirements for Prep Cook

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Advanced knowledge of kitchen stations, roles, and equipment.
• Ability to work with temperature extremes, including in a walk-in freezer (-10°F).
• Ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Successful completion of restaurant training program and willingness to learn.
