POSITION PURPOSE

Ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards are met and surpassed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Provide superior guest service, positively affecting interactions with external and internal guests and employees.
2. Read food orders from computer printouts and prepare food items according to established menu plans.
3. Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
4. Observe and enforce Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, proper steam table temperature, and cleanliness of the work environment.
5. Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe, and effective manner.
6. Coordinate and communicate on orders with dining room staff.
7. Prepare all food items accurately and in a timely manner.
8. Complete all assigned prep items as written on the prep sheet.
9. Assist other team members as needed.
10. Complete other duties as requested.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of food items, to standard, in a high-volume, fast-paced operation.
• Understanding and knowledge of sanitation procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk; must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds, and air quality.
• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
