Job Title: Prep Cook at Lodging Hospitality Management

Responsibilities:
- Prepare all pantry food items according to standard recipes or supervisor specifications to ensure consistency and quality, including transportation of heavy food products.
- Maintain proper storage of products, especially fresh produce, and check portion control to preserve quality.
- Keep refrigeration, storage, and work areas clean and compliant with health regulations.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working condition.
- Visually select and use only the freshest ingredients, following recipes and employing math skills for measurements. Prepare requisitions for supplies.
Supportive Functions:
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products.
- Keep floors dry and clean to prevent slips and falls.
- Assist with other duties such as cross-training, moving supplies, and cleaning spills.
- Report suspicious activity immediately.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of cold food preparation and sanitation standards.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, slicers, etc.).
- Basic math skills for recipes and measurements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools.
- Hearing and visual acuity to detect emergencies.
- Physical ability to push/pull objects up to 100 pounds and carry up to 150 pounds.
- Ability to work within extreme temperature ranges.
