Prep Cook - Part Time - Port St. Lucie, FL

We are currently hiring a Prep Cook responsible for food preparation for à la carte and banquet services. The role includes preparing products for outside services, washing and sanitizing pots, dishes, utensils, and carts either mechanically or by hand, stacking plates, and polishing silverware as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain high sanitary conditions by thoroughly cleaning work areas daily.
  • Prepare food to specifications and recipes, ensuring accuracy and freshness for à la carte and banquet production.
  • Assist in the preparation and production of banquet events.
  • Assist the line in stocking and finishing products.
  • Receive, stock, and transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Clean all kitchen areas, including stainless surfaces, walls, and shelves.
  • Clean equipment and floors; assist with dishwashing as needed.
  • Remove trash and garbage, placing it into designated receptacles; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
  • Attend in-service training and educational seminars as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training.

Collaboration and Teamwork

Ability to work harmoniously with others, respond positively to instructions, and maintain productive relationships with staff.

None required.

Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds daily.
