Job summary

Forno Osteria & Bar LLC in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced prep cook to support our kitchen during busy service. You will wash, chop, and portion ingredients, follow recipes, and help keep stations organized and clean.

This is a full-time role with benefits after probation, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities to work with fresh Neapolitan-inspired dishes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Wash, chop, slice, dice, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients.
• Recipe Adherence: Accurately measure and mix ingredients for recipes, sauces, and dressings.
• Station Setup: Organize and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and tools for cooks.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Keep prep areas, tools, and equipment clean, sanitized, and organized.
• Inventory & Stocking: Monitor supplies, label items, put away deliveries, and alert managers to shortages.
• Sanitation & Safety: Follow all food safety guidelines, clean spills, and take out trash.
• Support: Assist line cooks during service by providing prepared ingredients and performing other duties like dishwashing as needed.

Job Details: Job Location: Cincinnati, OH 45208, Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly, A Taste of Italy nestled in the Hyde Park Neighborhood. Forno Osteria & Bar offers a classic, rustic Italian dining experience complete with wood-fired Neapolitan Style Pizza and Housemad Pasta, that delights the senses and transports you to Italy. Chef Cristian Pietoso's passion for Italian cuisine is evident in every dish. We are currently looking for an experienced prep cook to help facilitate an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Wash, chop, slice, dice, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients.
