Job summary

Forno Osteria & Bar Montgomery in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Line Cook to prepare high-quality Italian dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and kitchen team to ensure dishes meet authenticity and presentation standards.

The role requires knowledge of Italian ingredients, strong knife skills, and the ability to manage mise en place, sanitation, and timely service. Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist with food prep, portioning, and inventory rotation.
• Ensure dishes meet restaurant quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing storage areas.
• Support and assist other team members during busy service periods.

This is as close as it gets without taking a plane. Our handcrafted menu is rustic and comforting. We have sourced the highest quality local and imported Italian ingredients we could find. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality menu items while maintaining the standards of authentic Italian cuisine. This role works closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, and kitchen team to ensure dishes are prepared accurately, efficiently, and presented to the restaurant’s quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
