We are currently seeking a full-time Prep Cook to join our team at Best Impressions Caterers in Charlotte, NC. This role reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and/or Executive Chef.

The Prep Cook will be responsible for key duties including:

  1. Washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients such as vegetables and meats for cooking.
  2. Maintaining stock of ingredients and supplies, organizing prep stations, and assisting with inventory.
  3. Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage and cleaning.
  4. Assisting with basic cooking tasks like grilling, sautéing, or steaming, and preparing sauces and condiments as per recipes.
  5. Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely ingredient preparation.
  6. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and prep areas during each shift.

Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, pays attention to detail, and has an interest in food. Basic knowledge of food safety guidelines is advantageous.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Candidates should be able to follow instructions and work well in a team setting.

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, plus either Saturday or Sunday.
