Job Summary:

A Prep Cook supports kitchen staff in preparing meals and ingredients, organizing and labeling food items, and sanitizing workstations during and after service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine kitchen tasks.
• Follow the prep list to plan duties.
• Label and stock ingredients for easy access.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping vegetables, and cutting meat.
• Set up workstations and ingredients according to recipes.
• Undertake basic cooking duties like reducing sauces and parboiling food.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads and entrees.
• Maintain a clean kitchen by washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Ensure proper storage of food and items.
• Follow nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
