Job Summary and Qualifications

Join our team as a Preoperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. Your responsibilities include planning, executing, and evaluating preoperative nursing care, ensuring quality and compassionate patient interactions.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients’ care areas and ensuring equipment readiness.
• Conducting physical and psychological assessments, reviewing patient histories and tests.
• Administering preoperative medications and IV therapies.
• Monitoring patients until transfer to the OR.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as per state requirements.
• BCLS certification (must be in-person, online not accepted).
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification if required by the facility within 30 days.
