Job Summary and Qualifications

Join us as a Preoperative Nurse at our ambulatory surgery center. You will plan, execute, and evaluate preoperative nursing care, exemplifying HCA values and providing quality, family-like care.

What You Will Do

• Prepare patient care areas before procedures.
• Ensure availability of equipment and supplies.
• Conduct physical and psychological assessments and review patient history and tests.
• Check patient charts for completeness before surgery.
• Administer preoperative medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patients until transfer to the OR.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or RN Diploma or higher in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in clinical settings like PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS certification (online not accepted).
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification if required, within 30 days.
