Job Summary and Qualifications

Join us as a Preoperative Nurse at our ambulatory surgery center. You will plan, execute, and evaluate preoperative nursing care. Demonstrate the values of HCA and your center by providing quality, family-like care.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Prepare patient care areas before procedures.
• Ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Conduct physical and psychological assessments, review history and diagnostics.
• Review patient charts for completeness prior to surgery.
• Administer preoperative medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patients until transferred to the OR.

Qualifications Needed

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS certification (online not accepted); ACLS required within 30 days; PALS if required by facility within 30 days.
