Job summary

Banner Surgery Center- Estrella seeks an RN to assess, plan, implement and document nursing care for surgical patients on the west valley campus. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and the health team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care across the perioperative spectrum.

You will evaluate patient responses, adjust plans, and mentor staff while maintaining compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one‑year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU.
• New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with completion within 4 months.
• PRN: Minimum two years licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
• Formulate and adjust care plans with patient/family and health team.
• Coordinate and supervise activities of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient progress and effectiveness of care and teaching.
• Document care in the patient record and ensure timely, accurate records.
• Contribute to quality improvement and professional development.
