Job summary

Banner Surgery Center – Thunderbird, operated by Atlas Healthcare Partners, is located on the Banner Thunderbird Medical Center Campus in the West Valley of the Phoenix area. This full-time RN position provides comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, patient education, and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in OR.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care and initiates the care plan with input from patient/family and health team.
• Implements and coordinates the plan of care with physician orders and nursing plan.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Promotes evidence-based care and participates in continuous improvement.
