Job summary

Banner Surgery Center - University seeks an experienced registered nurse for a part-time role in Phoenix. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with policy and professional standards.

The position emphasizes strong team collaboration and adherence to care plans in a multispecialty ASC setting. The role requires an RN license in the state, BLS and ACLS, with PALS within 90 days if pediatrics are served, plus prior PreOp/PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree/diploma in nursing required.
• RN license valid in state of practice or compact.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS within 90 days if pediatrics.
• Minimum one year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU for FT/PT.
• New RN enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with 4-month completion target.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and developmental domains.
• Formulate and discharge plan with patient/family input and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate activities with health care team.
• Document assessments, plans, and outcomes in patient records accurately and timely.
• Promote evidence-based practice and contribute to nursing quality improvement.
