Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies and procedures.
• Interpret data from monitors to ensure patient safety and effective care.
• Describe pathophysiology and anesthesia-related care relevant to perioperative patients.
• Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia care plans.
• Provide hand-off reports and educate patients and families on care expectations.
