Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice with good standing.
• BLS or Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying physiology.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia across modalities.
• Provide effective communication during hand-offs and educate patients and families.
