Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional perioperative care in a Surgery Center. You will perform preoperative admission, PACU care, postoperative care, and discharge evaluations, while developing patient care plans and guiding the team.

You will also supervise nursing interventions, educate patients and families, and ensure adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• BSN or MSN required.
• BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
• ACLS and PALS required.
• 2 yrs recent ICU/ER/PACU experience required.
• PCCN Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for Surgery Center patients in preoperative and postoperative phases.
• Perform preop admission, PACU care, post op care, and discharge evaluation.
• Develop care plans based on nursing diagnosis and nursing process.
• Provide orientation to new staff and supervise nursing interventions.
