Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional perioperative care in a Surgery Center. You will perform preoperative admission, PACU care, postoperative care, and discharge evaluations, while developing patient care plans and guiding the team.

You will also supervise nursing interventions, educate patients and families, and ensure adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• BSN or MSN required.
• BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
• ACLS and PALS required.
• 2 yrs recent ICU/ER/PACU experience required.
• PCCN Preferred.

In this exciting role, the Registered Nurse will work under general supervision to provide professional nursing care of Surgery Center patients in all phases of preoperative and postoperative care. Perform preop admission, PACU care, post op care, and evaluation for discharge. Develop care plans based on nursing diagnosis and nursing process. Provide orientation to new staff. Maintain professional standards. Provide preoperative and postoperative teaching. Assess plan, develop, document and evaluate patient care plans. Provide guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. Assess patient, family and staff learning needs and promote effective working relationships.

Salary range: $65.76-$97.76/Hourly

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:

• Current California RN license required
• BSN or MSN required
• BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
• ACLS and PALS required
• 2 yrs recent ICU/ER/PACU experience required
• PCCN Preferred
• Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
• Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
• Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
• Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
