Job summary

Surgery Partners through North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Preop/PACU, full-time, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

You will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across ages under minimal supervision, focusing on safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include using the nursing process, coordinating discharge planning, adhering to age-specific standards, documenting care, and participating in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current North Carolina nursing license or compact license.
• BLS certification required on hire; ACLS/PALS preferred and must be obtained within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience or critical care experience.
• Requires strong assessment, planning, and care delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide qualified nursing care using the nursing process across age groups.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the care team.
• Follow age-specific standards for medications and perioperative care.
• Incorporate cultural and developmental needs into the plan of care.
• Document care in patient records and participate in performance improvement.
• Complete additional duties as needed.
